About me
Hey there, my name is Sophie! I'm 24 years old, and I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada! 🍁
I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. In school, I was always the ''Art kid'' that sat quietly in the back of the class and drew.
My passion for art really started when I would go visit my cousins.
One of them drew a lot and I remember always wanting to draw like her. I'd watch her draw and she'd give me tips and tricks.
Her style was heavily inspired by manga and anime, which translated onto me. Because she watched anime, I started watching anime too, and would draw myself and my friends in that style.
When I got a little older, around 12 years old, I asked my mom if I could have a tablet. At the time, I was always on DeviantArt and was an avid speedpaint watcher on YouTube.
Digital art really intrigued me, and I was itching to try it out. As an early birthday gift, my mom got me my first tablet, and that's when I REALLY started drawing digitally.
Fast forward a few years later, and I've finally established myself as an artist. I love experimenting with different art styles and mediums. While I tend to do a lot of digital pieces, I also like to occasionally use watercolours and copic markers, as well as ink pens.
I enjoy drawing pretty girls, pretty flowers, and generally anything I find captivating. I tend to draw from my emotions, thoughts, or something that inspires me, whether that be something I saw online, an outfit that someone was wearing on the bus, or the weather. I find inspiration everywhere.

I am living with my parents while working on my freelance business and saving up to purchase a house with my partner!

Seneca College - Art Fundamentals (Certificate with honors) 2016
Algonquin College - Illustration and Concept Art (Diploma) 2018
Programs and tools that I use:
Clip Studio Paint EX, Huion Kamvas GT-156. (I also have some knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, but I'm a little rusty).
I also use Procreate on my iPad Pro.
What I enjoy drawing the most:
I love doing character designs and colouring digitally. I also love doing clean line work and going over rough sketches.
Aspirations & Goals
Any art job I get is exciting to me. Being able to work with a client and bring their ideas to life with my art skills is very fulfilling.
I love being able to redraw someone else's character(s)/concept and seeing how it looks in my style.
I would absolutely LOVE to be able to draw book covers; whether it be for a graphic novel or a YA novel. In the future, I'd like to put out a zine or an art book. I love collecting them from other artists that I admire, so I made it a goal to work on a zine and (hopefully) be able to publish one in the near future!
